Blake Lively, Hayden Panettiere Are Red-Hot At Emmy Awards

Last Sunday night's Emmy Awards were all about looking hot in red and white. While some actresses, including Blake Lively was one of the best."Gossip Girl" Blake Lively found time to change between the Emmy Awards, at which she presented, and the HBO post-Emmy party.She lost the plunging red Versace in favor of a black sequined Balmain dress. She even changed her jewelry and her shoes, but kept the hair braid.

Blake Lively, Hayden Panettiere, Emmy winner Toni Collette, "Fringe" star Anna Torv and Debra Messing were just a few of the ladies who donned their best shades of red for the show. Some, like Messing, Panettiere and Collette, wore it well — most of all Collette, whose flouncy skirt floated as she went onstage to receive her award. But others, including Lively and Mila Kunis, wearing deep scarlet, appeared awkward in their gowns. Lively seemed uncomfortable baring so much skin, while Kunis looked like she was dressed more for Halloween than for the Emmys.

Lively's "Gossip Girl" co-star Leighton Meester hopped on the white trend of the night in her Roman-style gown, as did "Big Love" star Chloë Sevigny, who looked incredibly hip in her asymmetrical, polka-dot gown. But the winner in white had to be "Mad Men" star January Jones, who was stunning in a strapless, art deco gown.

Then again everyone from the "Mad Men" cast looked stylish, including Don Draper himself, Jon Hamm. Vampires Stephen Moyer and David Boreanaz were anything but sucky in their tuxes. Justin Timberlake, who was an Emmy winner (for his guest-starring work on "Saturday Night Live") as well as a presenter, rocked a tux, but with a white tie. And the night's host, Neil Patrick Harris, made the bold choice to wear a white tuxedo jacket with black pants.

Finally, props to Drew Barrymore in her ethereal blush-hued gown and Jennifer Love Hewitt in her sparkly, strapless butter-colored dress. They both stood out in a sea of red and white.

New York City goes mad for hot celebrities of Anna Wintour at Fashion's Night Out

It is the latest hot news that For her Fashion's Night Out extravaganza of Anna Wintour ,New York stores were jammed Thursday for Fashion's Night Out, where shoppers rubbed elbows with celebrities — sometimes quite literally.

Amateur photographers jockeyed with paparazzi to get pictures of Victoria Beckham and stood on banquettes to get a glimpse of "Top Chef" host Padma Lakshmi. The hope was that the event, a brainchild of Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, would help at the cash register during New York Fashion Week, which opened Thursday.

Poor Oscar de la Renta was reduced to performing a song and dance in his own store — accompanied by Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Barbara Walters — to appease the queen.

And he wasn't the only one. Vogue's European editor at large Hamish Bowles belted out Noel Coward tunes at Juicy Couture. Alexa Joel sang the blues at Elie Tahari, too.

Bergdorf Goodman hosted a designer cookoff between Lela Rose, Peter Som and Cynthia Rowley (who made Jell-o shots much to the crowd's delight) while on another floor, Robert Verdi beat Donna Karan at a fashion trivia contest led by Vogue's Andre Leon Talley.

Is there anything the woman can't get her minions to do?

Nope. In Queens, where Anna appeared with Diane von Furstenberg, Kate Hudson and the mayor himself, Bloomberg recounted trying to turn her down when she first came up with the idea — but “lost totally.”

And if Anna had her way, he'd lose at something else, too. Waiting for Bloomie to arrive in a private room she fumed, “If he doesn't show, Diane and I will run for mayor on a joint ticket and take over the city.”

She could, too, from the looks of the adoring crowd who gathered at the Queens Center Mall's Macy's, where Anna hung out for two and a half hours before heading to Ralph Lauren's bash. “She knows that she has to restore her image,” said Julio Thillet, 34, from the Bronx, on why the Vogue editrix hauled out to the boro. “This is her reaching out to the bottom level, to the masses, like kissing babies.”

Diane Cusimano-Thenkin, a florist from Glendale, came with an offering at Anna's altar: a bunch of purple orchids. “I've been thinking about this bouquet for days,” she gushed.

But no one was more moved than Shailee Shah, 16, a high school student from Queens, who received the Vogue equivalent of sainthood. “Anna told me that she really liked my dress,” she said.

This new fitness trend for 2009 is taking itself indoors for the winter months, but the last thing your body will be doing is hibernating. Fitness trainer to stars like Julia Roberts and Drew Barrymore, Kathy Kaehler is an advocate of circuit training. Kaehler uses a series of exercises and movements to target various body parts. Circuits move the exercises one after the other and utilizes body weight as the only form of resistance. Stability balls or mats may also be used.
